What Happened In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #15?

A New Villain Is Born And Brothers Forge An Alliance

The chapter begins with a flashback of Matsuri’s attack on the Hidden Sand, and Gaara’s struggle to protect Shinki, Yodo, and Araya. As he forced them to retreat, Shinki broke loose from Gaara’s sand and sealed him with his Magnetic Sand to protect him. Unfortunately, a Claw Grime bites Shinki, and this is how he is turned into a new Divine Tree called Ryu. Back to the present, Kankuro and Shikamaru continue their talk, with Kankuro explaining what happened and how Shinki’s sealing jutsu is still protecting Gaara. He asks Shikamaru for help and Shikamaru agrees to share any information as soon as they’re done investigating.

Back at the hideout of the Divine Trees, Ryu notices something off and uses his Magnetic Sand to pull out someone who’s hiding, and it turns out Code was spying on them. Code is angry that they aren’t working on devouring an Otsutsuki, to which Jura replies he has other matters to attend to first. This makes Code angry, and he attacks Jura, but he is quickly humiliated after his arm is blasted off. Because of his gratitude to Code, Jura tells him to find Boruto and his unknown ally and kill them, and he will give him the chakra fruit in exchange. Code leaves in anger and rage, but agrees to the deal and promises he will get the last laugh.

The Next Arc Will Take Place In The Land of Wind

The first arc of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex concluded one year after the series first began, and the next starts in chapter #16. As revealed in the official sneak peek, the next arc will take place in the Land of Wind, with a mission being spearheaded by Konohamaru, most likely to rescue Gaara. However, the chapter won’t jump into action yet, as there will also be a focus on the aftermath of the attack on Konoha, and the steps to combat the situation.

Another sneak peek revealed Shikamaru’s conversation with Eida about the situation, and how he talked with an unknown person through a toad. He deduced it was Kashin Koji and asked Eida to confirm. Things are getting interesting as more players join the fray, making the possibilities of the upcoming arc endless. Kawaki’s confrontation with Amado could also happen, and his time to finally shine is soon.

Because the arc focuses on the mission to rescue Gaara, Ryu will likely be the main villain of the arc. Whatever path Boruto: Two Blue Vortex decides to take for this storyline, it proved it deserves a second look after proving how serious it is with the first arc. Chapter #16 will decide the course of the mission that is reminiscent of the beginning of Naruto’s time skip, and how this chapter will unfold will be interesting.
