Why Fans Think Vander Is Warwick in Arcane Season 2

A popular fan theory online has left many wondering if Vander is actually werewolf Warwick in Arcane Season 2. Vander met a tragic fate in the predecessor season after he fell off a collapsing building, leading to his ultimate demise. However, the recent season introducing Warwick has many believing that he might be a disguise of their beloved character. So, here’s a detailed guide explaining what made fans think Vander debuted in Arcane Season 2.

Is Arcane’s Vander actually Warwick in Season 2?

Arcane Season 2 hasn’t officially revealed Vander being Warwick but a fan theory has suggested this possibility.

Arcane Season 1 witnessed a rift between Silco and Vander when the latter chose peace over fighting for a free Zaun. This led to Silco going against Vander, striking a deal with Piltover enforcer Marcus to hand over the children responsible for setting the city on fire. Vander tries to keep his children safe, leading to his ultimate surrender.

Silco puts Vander’s life at risk, hiding him in the warehouse but his children come to his rescue. However, things turn tragic, when Powder ignites an explosion. Wanting to save Vi, Vander takes Shimmer and transforms into a monster temporarily. He later jumps off an exploding building and loses his life eventually.

However, fans have a hard time believing that Vander is dead all thanks to Warwick’s introduction in Arcane Season 2 Act 1. This is because several glimpses showcase a giant beast hanging in Singed’s lab. The wolf is made out of the DNA and organs of a Murk Wolf. With Season 1 Episode 9’s finale seeing Singed take Vander’s body to his lab for experimentation, many have already started believing that Vander might be behind Warwick’s beast form.

For those unaware, Warwick is a League of Legends character. With a large beasty body, he is a combination of human and canine anatomy. Driven by a thirst for blood and pure rage, he often safeguards the city of Zaun from criminals.
